Screen selection and stabilization are separate settings
Use the documented Up-button hold to select the screen you need. Changing screens should not be used as a substitute for checking the stabilization setting.
Because stabilization starts off by default, inspect that setting when preparing a shot. This explains the initial state, but it does not prove every video setting can be combined with stabilization; the mode combination must still be checked in the camera’s manual.
