The table supports the X5 / X4 Air Quick Reader for X5 and rejects the named X4 and X3 readers. That is a specific reader decision, not a statement about every USB-C accessory.
For charging, the listed X5 Utility Fast Charge Case is supported. The X4 Air Utility Fast Charge Case and X4 Fast Charge Hub are not supported on X5. Sharing a reader does not make the charging accessories interchangeable.
Look for the exceptions, not just the generation name
The X5/X4 Lens Cap is explicitly supported, whereas the X3 Lens Cap is not. The X5 Water Sports Rope Mount is also supported for X5. These named exceptions are why neither “all old accessories fit” nor “nothing carries over” is a useful rule.
