Two measurements answer different questions
Use the build volume to check a part in the slicer and the physical dimensions to plan the location. The handbook gives 7.6 kg without packaging. Neither that weight nor the centered-bed depth replaces a check of the actual installation, cable routing and moving-bed clearance described in the setup documentation.
Original Prusa MK4 has the following documented build volume: 250 × 210 × 220 mm. The same configuration lists depth with bed centered as 420 mm with bed centered. A usable build volume sets the boundary for the object you plan to print. Compare the part in its intended orientation with this envelope before choosing the machine. This measurement is different from the printer’s outside dimensions: fitting the printer on a desk does not establish that a particular part fits inside it.
Original Prusa MK4 has the following documented weight without packaging: 7.6 kg. Keep this weight tied to the configuration and measurement scope given by the manufacturer. A figure excluding packaging or accessories should not be read as the weight of a delivered bundle. When planning placement or transport, identify which components are actually included rather than borrowing a value from a similarly named version.
Original Prusa MK4 has the following documented depth with bed centered: 420 mm with bed centered. The same configuration lists build volume as 250 × 210 × 220 mm. Use the documented dimensions to plan the physical installation, retaining the exact configuration and measurement conditions. Allowing for the stated machine outline is a starting point; confirm access for the documented loading, removal and maintenance tasks before committing to a tightly fitted location.
Keep MK4 and its installed nozzle together
The documented starting point is a 0.4 mm nozzle with 1.75 mm filament. If the machine has been modified, confirm the installed nozzle before selecting the corresponding profile. This MK4 record should not be read as an MK4S specification or as approval for any nozzle carrying a similar name.
Original Prusa MK4 has the following documented installed nozzle diameter: 0.4 mm. Identify the installed nozzle and the exact documented replacement route before changing a print profile or ordering a spare. Diameter, material and printer-family fit are separate parts of that check. A listed option is not necessarily included in the box, and an accessory for another toolhead cannot be declared interchangeable from its appearance or nominal diameter alone.
Original Prusa MK4 has the following documented filament diameter: 1.75 mm. The same configuration lists build volume as 250 × 210 × 220 mm. Match the documented filament diameter when preparing a job; nozzle diameter describes a different component. Keep the spool’s material designation and the selected feed route in view as well. Meeting the diameter entry alone does not resolve restrictions on a material feeder, abrasive material or a configuration that the manufacturer has not named.
Exact product identity
Product identifiers in official records
GTINs, UPCs, manufacturer SKUs and model codes can identify different colors, configurations or bundles. Only identifiers stated in official records are shown; an unpublished ASIN is not inferred.
