Compatibility decision rules
Match each verdict to the evidence available
Compatibility depends on the exact model, part identity, market and official compatibility wording—not appearance.
Exact model explicitly listed
The official part record names the full model.
Series-level support only
The family is supported, but the exact model is not named.
Missing listing or market mismatch
No direct evidence means compatibility is not inferred.
Officially excluded
Used only when an official record explicitly says it is unsupported.
AMS lite route
Use one AMS lite when four colors are enough. The current product FAQ explicitly rejects combining multiple AMS lite units for sixteen colors.
Full-size AMS route
For AMS, AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT, the A1 FAQ requires AMS HUB SA013. Confirm the exact hub and current AMS model before purchase; older compatibility summaries may no longer reflect the live product page.
FAQ
Bambu Lab A1 frequently asked questions
Each answer stays within the facts and sources shown on this page.
01Can A1 use two AMS lite units for 16 colors?
No. The current U.S. A1 FAQ says the printer supports only one AMS lite, for a maximum of four colors.
02Can A1 connect to the full-size AMS?
Yes, under the current U.S. product FAQ, but an AMS HUB accessory with identifier SA013 is required. That page also names AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT through this hub. Do not reuse older “incompatible” guidance without checking the current product record.
