Check the dock and look for the charging confirmation
The manual’s initial setup connects the power cord to the back of the dock, keeps the dock away from a heat source, and leaves at least 0.45 m open in front for entry and exit. Push the robot into the dock with the side brushes facing outward.
Listen for a single dock beep, then the robot switching itself on and giving a voice prompt. These are the documented charging-start signals. If they are missing, this guide cannot determine whether the cause is the dock, battery or another component.
An error light is a reason to investigate, not to buy a battery
A steady-red robot indicator means robot error or disconnected; a flashing dock indicator means error or disconnected. Neither label identifies a failed battery or a compatible replacement. Record the light pattern and charging response for support rather than ordering a part from that symptom alone.
Do not use an erasing reset as an unverified charging fix
Holding Reset for 5 seconds unbinds the account and clears user data; holding it for 10 seconds restores factory settings. The manual does not prescribe either action as a charging repair. Stop guessing at parts or resets and contact North American support at support.na@global.narwal.com if the documented setup does not resolve the problem.
