DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI troubleshooting: charging or Wi-Fi?

Direct answer

For the US X8 PRO OMNI, choose the branch that matches the symptom. For charging, check robot and station power, base installation and contact alignment; switch off and unplug before dry-cloth cleaning. For app connection, use ECOVACS HOME with 2.4 GHz or mixed 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi and the manual’s router requirements. Persistent faults need ECOVACS support; a storage-related charging failure is not permission to open the battery.

Not charging: check the physical charging path

Confirm the robot is switched on, the OMNI Station has power, its base is installed correctly and both sets of charging contacts connect. If contacts are dirty, switch the robot off and unplug the station before wiping them with a dry cloth. Do not use a wet cloth.

App connection: check network prerequisites separately

The US manual names ECOVACS HOME. It requires 2.4 GHz or mixed 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, a router supporting 802.11b/g/n and IPv4, and WPA2 enabled. Do not use a VPN, proxy server or hidden network for the documented connection setup.

These network conditions address app connection, not a mechanical charging-contact fault. Do not reset or dismantle charging hardware merely because the app cannot connect.

Stop after the documented branches do not resolve the fault

Contact ECOVACS customer service if the problem persists after the recommended checks. If a battery cannot charge after prolonged storage or over-discharge, the manual also directs you to ECOVACS and says not to disassemble the battery yourself.
