Connection and market details
Check both parts of the requirement
Wi-Fi band and addressing are different fields in the requirement. The supported band choices are 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz; the addressing choices are IPv4 and IPv6. Match both to the Pro rather than treating one supported option as the only valid choice.
This identifies supported network families. It does not establish that every guest-network policy, sign-in mechanism or router configuration will work. For a managed network, ask the person responsible for it to compare the documented requirements with the actual configuration.
Identify where the connected task stops
If the unit has not completed app setup, describe that as onboarding. If you can reach the device but a camera view is missing, describe the camera and the requested live or saved content. The Whisker app is used for setup, controls and camera access, but those are not the same task.
For video, the documented first checks include camera enablement and the service tier. A missing per-visit globe recording is additionally an availability question because the official guide still contains a coming-soon notice. Move to the camera guide rather than repeatedly changing a supported band to answer an unrelated feature question.

A restricted network needs an outbound-connection check
If Live View still fails on a managed or restricted network, Whisker’s camera guide specifies outbound connections used for cloud access, time synchronization and streaming. Ask the administrator to compare its Network requirements table with the policy actually in place.
This is not an instruction to expose inbound ports or disable the firewall. For a black view, first check the phone’s internet and the robot’s Wi-Fi connection and retry. Keep the observed symptom and configuration for Whisker if those checks do not explain it.

FAQ
Litter-Robot 5 Pro frequently asked questions
Each answer stays within the facts and sources shown on this page.
01Do I need to turn off the router's 5 GHz band for the Pro?
The documented requirement does not call for that: the Pro supports 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. This confirms supported bands, not every router configuration, so seek configuration-specific guidance if onboarding still fails.
