Blue LEDs or signs of damage: stop here first
For a moisture indication, follow the full 24-hour air-drying instruction rather than repeatedly reconnecting the cable to see whether charging begins. Before charging, the port must be completely dry; if it remains wet or the blue moisture LEDs remain on, leave the charger disconnected.
Excessive heat or swelling is not an ordinary low-battery symptom. Likewise, bite marks and visible damage are reasons to stop use and contact Tractive. Do not disassemble or modify the tracker. These stop conditions apply before any connector or adapter check.

Dry tracker, no damage: check the power requirement
DOG 6 requires a 5V USB supply. Check the adapter output and look for the bottom charging LED. If that light does not appear on a dry, undamaged unit, Tractive instructs unplugging the USB-C connector, turning it 180° and reconnecting. The whole LED bar lights when charging is complete.
If the fault remains, tell Tractive which supply you used and what the indicators did. Keep a moisture warning or damage in the report; those conditions take priority over the connector check.

Loose on the collar: measure the strap, not the neck
The supplied rubber clip is the confirmed DOG 6 attachment for collars up to 2.8 cm (1.1 in) wide. If you changed the collar, compare the new strap with that width limit and verify that you are using the DOG 6 part. A clip belonging to another model is not confirmed by the shared Tractive name.
Keep a charging-port-cover problem separate from a collar-clip problem. Tractive has a replacement route for a lost cover or one that no longer sits flush. That does not settle DOG 6's conflicting waterproof documentation, and it is not an attachment repair.

FAQ
Tractive DOG 6 frequently asked questions
Each answer stays within the facts and sources shown on this page.
01What should I do when DOG 6 shows blue moisture LEDs?
Do not charge it. Wipe the tracker with a lint-free cloth and let it air-dry for 24 hours, as Tractive instructs. The charging port must be completely dry before charging; if it remains wet or the blue moisture LEDs remain on, keep the charger disconnected.
02Do I measure neck circumference or strap width for the DOG 6 clip?
Measure the width across the collar strap. The supplied DOG 6 clip is specified for collars up to 2.8 cm (1.1 in) wide; that is not a neck-circumference limit.
