Anycubic Kobra 3 Max: check desk space before using the tall build volume
Kobra 3 Max offers 420 × 420 × 500 mm print space but a 706 × 640 × 753 mm body. Keep the 90 °C bed limit and TPU/ACE Pro exclusion in view.

Anycubic’s Kobra filament printers and Photon resin printers answer different workspace and production needs. Start with the process, usable build volume and material workflow; then check the exact model’s feed system, software and replacement parts.
Identity first
Kobra 3 Max offers 420 × 420 × 500 mm print space but a 706 × 640 × 753 mm body. Keep the 90 °C bed limit and TPU/ACE Pro exclusion in view.
Kobra 3 V2’s 8-color kit lists two ACE Pro units and a connection module. Preserve the TPU exclusion and V2-specific build dimensions.
Kobra 3 guidance places ACE Pro to the left and limits TPU to single-color printing outside ACE Pro. Check its original 250 × 250 × 260 mm envelope.
Kobra 4 Combo includes one ACE 2 Pro for four colors, but TPU 95A is excluded from that feeder. Check the exact configuration.
S1 Max lists a 350 mm cube, 65 °C active chamber heating and no original ACE Pro support. Do not transfer S1 assumptions automatically.
Verify the U.S. Kobra S1 enclosure, build volume, temperatures, nozzle sizes, primary filaments, ACE Pro and software routes.
Check Kobra X feeder compatibility first, then its hardened-steel nozzle, 260 mm cube and physical dimensions.
The Ultra lists ACF film, 153.4 × 87 × 165 mm build volume and a 0.02–0.15 mm layer range. Keep the complete model name in parts searches.
Mono 4 lists 153.4 × 87 × 165 mm printing space, FEP film and Photon Workshop. Identify the standard model before choosing consumables.
M7 Max lists 298 × 164 × 300 mm print space and 425 × 362 × 652 mm machine dimensions, with ACF and Photon Workshop.
Verify M7 Pro’s 223 × 126 × 230 mm volume, ACF film and Photon Workshop baseline before borrowing a profile from another M7.
M7 lists a 223 × 126 × 230 mm envelope, ACF film and Photon Workshop. Keep model-specific setup separate from M7 Pro assumptions.
P1 Max has a 285.5 × 214 × 300 mm envelope, NFEP film and a 430 × 414 × 625 mm body. Check the exact Max profile.
Photon P1 lists NFEP film, Photon Workshop and 223 × 126 × 230 mm print space. Keep this configuration separate from P1 Max.

The Kobra S1 is an enclosed CoreXY filament printer, while Photon Mono M7 and Photon Mono 4 Ultra belong to the resin workflow described in their manufacturer specifications. Choosing among them starts with what you will make and which material process you can support, rather than treating the brand name as a single printing system.
For a project brief, write down the required part dimensions, material and finishing workflow before comparing the machines below. A product’s name or screen specification cannot establish whether a particular material, print profile or replacement component will work. Use the model guide to keep those decisions tied to the selected machine.

Kobra S1 lists a 250 × 250 × 250 mm build volume. Photon Mono M7 lists 223 × 126 × 230 mm, and Photon Mono 4 Ultra lists 153.4 × 87 × 165 mm. Compare every axis with the intended part orientation: a larger value on one axis does not remove a restriction on another.
These are manufacturer build-volume entries, not a promise that every object filling that box will print successfully. Include the actual orientation and process requirements in your selection, then use the model’s preparation instructions. Keep machine placement separate from part size; the build envelope alone is insufficient for planning a work area.

Kobra S1 specifications list PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS and ASA, with a 320 °C nozzle limit and a 120 °C bed limit. A maximum temperature is a hardware boundary, not a ready-made profile or a recommendation to run every material at that temperature. Match the material and nozzle configuration to the manufacturer’s documented workflow.
ACE Pro introduces a separate feed-path decision: one unit provides four-color operation and two provide eight-color operation, but TPU 95A is documented for single-color use and cannot use that ACE Pro route. Do not interpret a material appearing in the printer’s list as proof that the same material can pass through every multi-color accessory.
Kobra S1’s documented software route includes Anycubic Slicer Next, while the selected Photon models name Photon Workshop. Start with the application listed for your printer, not a file or preset downloaded merely because it carries the Anycubic name. An existing profile for another process is not a substitute for a supported configuration.
The Photon Mono M7 and Mono 4 Ultra records also identify ACF film. A shared film term is a starting point for a parts lookup, not a complete compatibility statement: the exact replacement, dimensions and installation instructions still need to match the model. Keep the original model label and manual available when ordering a consumable.

For a purchase, shortlist the process first, compare the required build dimensions, and only then add multi-color equipment or replacement consumables. For a machine you already own, reverse that route: identify the exact model and accessory, then open its setup, material or maintenance guide. This avoids a family-level recommendation becoming an unsupported instruction for a different printer.
The source cards below separate manufacturer documents and their recorded scope. Their verification dates describe the underlying facts; the introduction’s update date describes this editorial revision. Neither date establishes independent print testing. If an accessory or material combination has not been confirmed in the model guide, obtain the exact manufacturer instructions before treating it as supported.
